A Creative Refuge

“I CHOSE HIM NOT BY THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN,BUT BY THE CONTENT OF HIS CHARACTER.” Now how disrespectful is that? It Seems as if MITT ROMNEY is not the only one who isn’t concerned about 47% of middle class americans. The same middle class Americans who have supported her illustrious career and have kept her relevant over the years. The same middle class who purchase the magazines where her photoshoots are featured, the same middle class who tolerated the first season of  the VH1 TV series SINGLE LADIES in  support of her.  What better way to say thank you to your fan base and supporters than to publicly endorse the republican presidential candidate which clearly does not support the middle class.  The same middle class which clearly supports you.

Apparently the Nicki Minaj lyrics “I’m a republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy b—s is f—–g up the ECONMY” is not a public endorsement of the republican  presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Evidently the lyrics were written for the entertainment and shock value, and with the massive response that was received, mission accomplished.  So if Mitt Romney is not your candidate of choice,is it safe to say that those lyrics are socially irresponsible.  With the race being so close and this being the most important and pivotal election of this era, If Mitt Romney is not who you support and President Barak Obama is then we are waiting. We are waiting for the song that you write which is in support of the candidate that supports all who supports you. All of your 14 million plus Twitter followers,  the candidate who supports the 1 million plus fans who purchased your albums, the candidate that supports the thousands of fans who purchase tickets to see you perform in concert, the candidate which supports the millions of fans who download your music and the millions who watch your videos on YouTube. We are waiting for you to use your celebrity and your platform to show support for the president of these United States Barak Obama. Which is the president who supports the middle class ,the middle class which has definitely helped you reach such stardom. How soon we forget that making music is not enough, you need someone to buy it. Making videos and movies is not enough, you need someone to watch it.  How soon we forget that doing concerts means nothing if no one buys a ticket, you need people to fill the arena. How soon we forget that the middle class of America supports mega superstars. Without middle class America there would be no Nicki Minaj, Stacy Dash, or Greg Anthony just to name a few.
